The Aruri race is an interesting race in that it's main export is tactical warfare. You cannot buy any element of Aruri technology, however, if you can convince the Seven Grand Masters that your quest is just, then you can hire the Aruri to act on your bahalf. Tactical combat means that the Aruri fight with their minds and not with their machines. War machines are only used as a last resort.

Combine this with the realization that the Aruri came late to warp technology, they use every other form of transport more effectively, and you have a race with a unique design philosophy. The lightest fighter looks like it would be the heaviest and most capable. That is not the reality. The heaviest Aruri fighter looks like a fragile, tube based crate. It looks positively ancient. Since the Aruri use technology based upon field-frames, they do not need sleek ships. Aruri engineers can make a cube move faster through the air than a sphere would.

In order to give the Aruri six types of fighter, each based on a special role, I created three ground based and three space based fighter designs. Every fighter has its own specialty as a result of my own design philosophy. This is most noticable in the ground fighters.
